How to choose laundry software for a drop-off shop
Feature grids hide the only test that matters: can the product follow one real visit from drop-off to collection without a notebook as backup? Start from that visit, then ask vendors — including us — the questions below.
Can one order hold dry-cleaning pieces and a wash-and-fold lot? Combined shops take both in one conversation. Two tickets split the visit and the balance.
How do you find the work three days later from the rail, not only from the customer name? A tag or equivalent handle has to work when someone is holding cloth.
Is “ready” separate from “paid”? An order can wait for collection with a balance due, or be paid while still in processing. Software that collapses those states creates quiet losses at the desk.
How does the customer hear that work is ready — and do they need an account? Many shops need a notice and a tracking page, not another login to support.
Who may see the till, the price book, or only the processing queue? Roles matter once more than one person touches the order. So does saying no: industrial linen, hotel bulk, and grocery-style POS are different products.
Trial the live path, not a slide deck. Price a real service, take a mixed order, mark ready, settle what is left, and see what is still unpaid. If that only works with a side notebook, keep looking. EaziTags is Core Bracket’s answer for drop-off garment and lot shops; use the same questions on any other system.
